It's not that traffic might have changed for these sites - many of them have never had meaningful traffic at any point and are not examples of "affiliate marketing websites" at all. For example, why would you include blogs with estimated organic traffic of "6" or "189" visitors? Obviously, that's a website that is not earning any money whatsoever and never has been.
I'm glad to hear this article was written by a real person, but it doesn't sound like Scarlett knows much about affiliate marketing or how to identify or describe successful affiliate sites.
I would have expected to see active, well-known travel blogs that get 250k+ visitors per month (of which there are many) that have a very clear affiliate strategy on this list. I would have expected to see the author highlight the blog's affiliate strategy and content, rather than making random observations like "good photos" on obscure personal websites that get no traffic and have been abandoned for years.
Hey, thanks for your comment!
Nope, this article wasn’t written by AI – but by our awesome author, Scarlett. Every site mentioned here is her honest take and personal picks.
That said, we know the traffic for these sites might’ve changed since we first published the article. It’s been a while, and let’s be real – Google updates have shaken up a lot of pages this year.
Like most creators, we use SEO to ensure people can find our articles. So, if anything sounds a bit like AI gibberish, it’s probably just the SEO adjustments.
What sites would you include in this list? Are there any resources you follow and admire for their best practices?
Did AI write this whole article? This is such a random assortment of websites, and not all of them are even travel-related? There’s no consistency with the sites and a lot of these are very clearly not getting much traffic at all, or are very obviously not affiliate marketing-focused sites. And there’s a lot of gibberish in this article that sounds AI-generated. Really disappointed Travelpayouts would put this kind of content out there.
